During this guide, we will test your ability to make predictions.
First we will be going over the future tense and you will complete the worksheet in your worksheet package. We will do some in class speaking activities to practise and reinforce this tense so make sure you are in class.
Based on the movie, you will make a prediction as to what will happen to Carlitos and Rosario. Follow the outline in your worksheet package. Meet with your teacher to discuss your prediction. Be prepared for some questions in Spanish.

How much of the movie did you understand? Complete the summary activity in your worksheet package and hand it in.
This guide also involves your first tests. The first test is on your knowledge of the movie and is multiple choice. The second test is on the grammar covered in this unit. You will need to study ser and estar (their forms and when to use them), comparisons and adjectives. On this test you will need to write 5 sentences describing yourself using ser and estar.
When you are ready for the tests, get test slips signed by your teacher.
You also need a multicultural seminar to complete this guide. Be sure to sign up for one.

What did you think of the movie? Would you recommend it to others? Who would you like to interview?
For this guide, you are going to write a critique following the guidelines in your worksheet package. Be sure to answer all the questions in your write up.
You have the opportunity to interview one of the characters. With a partner (or by yourself), create a "talk show" style interview. You can either present it live or film it and submit it to your teacher. Be sure to include props and a little drama. Creativity is appreciated. Follow the outline in your work sheet package.
